US Lobbying Firm Offers to Help PFIPC ‘Fake DG’ Seek Asylum
US lobbying firm Von Batten-Montague-York has offered to help Adeniyi Adeyemi, the embattled figure at the centre of Nigeria’s PFIPC scandal, seek asylum and whistleblower protection in the United States, according to Punch Newspapers.
Dr. Von Batten said he found Adeyemi “sincere and credible” and believes his allegations of World Bank fund misappropriation warrant investigation by Congress and multiple US agencies. He said he had already briefed Trump’s team and would begin congressional briefings this week.
Adeyemi, facing forgery and impersonation charges in Nigeria, alleges he was targeted after refusing to hand over 45% of his agency’s budget.
