The Presidency has accused former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai of plotting to incite nationwide unrest and undermine President Bola Tinubu’s administration, alleging that his recent claims against National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu were attempts to spread misinformation and deflect attention from corruption allegations against him in Kaduna. Presidential adviser Temitope Ajayi said, “Mallam El-Rufai has two clear intentions behind his recent actions and tantrums. One, to create political tension in the country… and then damage the government through deliberate misinformation,” adding that he should “brace up to face his corruption allegations.”
