JAMB releases 632,788 UTME results, warns against manipulation

JAMB has released over 600,000 UTME results and warned candidates against falsification, with arrests already made.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released 632,788 results from the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted on April 16. In a statement signed by spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, candidates were advised to check results by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using their registered SIM cards, noting that printing is not yet available.

The board warned against altering result messages, stating, “Candidates are strongly cautioned against manipulating the SMS… Such actions constitute a serious criminal offence.” It added, “Currently, two candidates and one parent are in custody for engaging in result falsification using AI and other electronic means.” JAMB said the examination process is ongoing, with more results to be released in batches.
