IPI Nigeria successfully secured the release of journalist Stanley Ugagbe from police custody. The Secret Reporters reporter was released to IPI Nigeria President Musikilu Mojeed on Monday, July 6, 2026, after the Institute’s intervention. Police investigations into alleged espionage and cyberstalking offenses are continuing, despite his bail. Ugagbe was arrested from his Abuja residence last Wednesday.
