Senator Adams Oshiomhole, former Edo governor, expressed “shock and sadness” over the death of Most Reverend Augustine Akubueze, Archbishop of Benin City. Oshiomhole praised the cleric as a courageous gospel witness, compassionate shepherd, and humble servant, whose life exemplified his motto: ‘That I may bear witness to the Truth.’ The archbishop passed away on July 9.
