The officers were abducted on June 14 along Orlu-Mgbidi Road while returning from a national conference in Okigwe. SU Chairman Willy Onu confirmed their safe release on July 5, 2026, expressing gratitude for collective prayers and support. Ransom payment remains unconfirmed.
