Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo has given Peter Obi one week to apologize to airport workers and pay a N25,000 fine over a disputed car-clamping incident at Abuja airport.
Obi Given 7 Days to Apologize Over Airport Clamping Row
Peter Obi has seven days to say sorry — or face the consequences. According to Peoples Gazette, Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo says CCTV footage from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport contradicts Obi’s claim that his car was “unjustly” clamped as part of a political “persecution agenda.”
Keyamo says footage shows Obi’s police-driven vehicle blocked the terminal entrance for roughly 30 minutes on July 4, violating drop-off rules, before Obi called the airport manager and got the car released without paying the fine.
Now Keyamo wants a public apology to airport staff and the N25,000 fine paid — within a week — or he’ll direct FAAN to act.
