A grieving Jos mother placed a cutlass in her slain son’s coffin and urged him to avenge his death following the deadly Palm Sunday attack in Plateau State.
A grieving mother in Plateau State, Mrs Favour Ayuba, has stirred emotional reactions after placing a cutlass in the coffin of her son, Promise, who was killed during the March 29 Palm Sunday attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North. The attack, carried out by suspected terrorists, left at least 24 residents dead and several others injured.
In a viral video, the tearful mother, speaking in Hausa, urged her late son to avenge his death. “If you want me to forget, baby, avenge your death… Please, wherever they are, follow them and avenge your death,” she said, adding that she had not eaten since the day of the attack.
