President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Taiwo Oyedele as Minister of State for Finance following his recent confirmation by the Senate.
President Bola Tinubu on Monday swore in Taiwo Oyedele as Minister of State for Finance during a brief ceremony at the State House in Abuja. Oyedele replaces Doris Anite-Uzoka, who has been redeployed to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning as Minister of State.
The Nigerian Senate confirmed Oyedele’s appointment on March 11, 2026, one day after the president requested his screening. Before his appointment, Oyedele served as Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, where he led efforts to overhaul Nigeria’s tax system.
