Homeowner Lynn Rae Wentworth said the Nazi symbol was concealed during inspection. “It’s mine now, and I don’t want it, but it’s mine. I was just shocked, mortified,” she said.
The seller admitted installing the floor in the 1970s, insisting the swastika was once seen as “a positive thing,” citing its use on greeting cards and sports uniforms in the 1920s. Her attorney, Daniel Stoner, said the explanation was that the symbol held different meanings across cultures.
