Apostle Johnson Suleman stirred debate by saying oral sex within marriage is not a sin—“anything you do with your wife indoors,” he said—while urging mutual consent and using biblical references to support his view.
Apostle Johnson Suleman, the general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, has ignited fresh debate after declaring that oral sex between married couples is not sinful. The cleric made the comments during a church service in Edo State, though the exact date of the event is unclear.
A member of the congregation had asked him: “Daddy, Sir, is oral sex a sin?” Suleman responded with a chuckle, asking whether he should answer “from the Bible” before giving his view. “Anything you do with your wife indoors is not a sin. So long as she’s your wife and both of you agree to do it, (it is not a sin),” he said.
Citing scripture, Suleman explained that biblical references to “the wife of your youth” encouraged intimacy within marriage. “‘Go within thy walls, let thy hands pass through her cisterns,’” he quoted. Addressing concerns that oral sex desecrates the mouth used for prayer, he retorted: “Don’t you use the same mouth to gossip? Don’t you use the same mouth to tell lies?”
He concluded by urging couples to focus on harmony: “Save your home, save your home.” A video of the exchange was uploaded to YouTube on 22 August 2025.
