The US has condemned a July 27 attack on a Kaduna State village that killed at least 30 people, including children, urging Nigeria to take stronger action against violence targeting Christians in the Middle Belt.

Washington is speaking out after another deadly attack in Nigeria. Per Daily Post Nigeria, the US Bureau of African Affairs issued a statement on X condemning the early morning assault, saying it “condemns the early morning July 27 attack on a village in Nigeria’s Kaduna State that reportedly killed at least 30 people, including children.”
The bureau extended condolences to victims’ families and called on the Nigerian government to step up efforts against recurring violence in the Middle Belt. It added that the US “will continue to urge the Government of Nigeria to address rampant violence against Christians” in the region.
