Guinness World Records has certified a Lagos concert featuring King Saheed Osupa, KS1 Malaika and top Afrobeats acts as the largest orchestra assembled for an Afrobeats performance.
Osupa, Malaika Orchestra Show Enters Guinness Book
It’s official — Lagos just made global history. Guinness World Records, via a Tuesday post on X, confirmed that “Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience” is now the largest orchestra ever assembled for an Afrobeats concert, according to Vanguard.
The show, held December 16, 2025, at Balmoral Convention Centre, packed 85 musicians, a conductor, choir and dancers onto one stage. Fuji heavyweights King Saheed Osupa and KS1 Malaika brought the flavour, alongside T.I Blaze, Rybeena, Bhadboi OML, Kashcoming, TML Vibez, Lasmid, Heis Cazulee and Dwillsharmony.
Organisers, led by music executive Dapper, had earlier teased the pending verification on Instagram before Tuesday’s confirmation. The feat adds another record to Nigeria’s growing Guinness tally, following Dapper’s known ties to three-time record holder Hilda Baci.
