Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu for a second term in 2027, describing him as a patriotic leader essential for the continued success of the “Renewed Hope” agenda.
Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has formally endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term, asserting that Nigerians must unite to support the current administration in the 2027 general elections. Speaking on Thursday in Port Harcourt during the opening of a meeting of the Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council, Fubara—who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) late last year—characterized the President as a “dedicated and highly patriotic” leader. The Governor emphasized that a second term is necessary to ensure the uninterrupted implementation of policies aimed at national transformation and economic stability.
The gathering, which brought together traditional rulers from the South-South, South-East, and South-West zones, focused on the role of traditional institutions in fostering peace and regional cohesion. Governor Fubara utilized the platform to reflect on the achievements of the Tinubu administration over the past three years, projecting that the “Renewed Hope” agenda would yield even greater results if granted continuity. He noted that while the country still faces hurdles, the President’s vision remains the most viable path toward achieving equitable development across all geopolitical zones.
Addressing the monarchs and stakeholders present, Fubara reaffirmed his confidence in the federal government’s ability to address lingering security and economic concerns. He argued that the President’s commitment to the nation warrants a renewed mandate to see his long-term projects to fruition. Highlighting this trust, the Governor stated: “Although challenges remain in certain regions, we all trust in Mr President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and dedication to safeguarding our nation, transforming the economy and delivering equitable development to all regions.”
