President Tinubu, former Head of State Yakubu Gowon, governors and ministers gathered in Abuja to pay tribute to former President Muhammadu Buhari on the first anniversary of his death.

President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, led tributes to former President Muhammadu Buhari on the first anniversary of his passing, according to Vanguard.
Tinubu said Buhari “gave everything he had to this country,” while former Head of State Yakubu Gowon recalled Buhari’s political support and personal generosity, including help paying his children’s school fees years after leaving office.
Ministers, governors and former officials, including ex-First Lady Aisha Buhari, attended the Abuja event. The Buhari family announced plans to establish a foundation to document his legacy. A video tribute from Yemi Osinbajo could not be played due to technical issues.
