SCRAMP: Lagos begins documentation of informal urban spaces

Lagos State initiates SCRAMP (Setbacks, Common Areas and Roadsides Administration and Monitoring Project) to document informal urban spaces. The project targets bringing structure, transparency, and accountability, while protecting future infrastructure land. Permanent Secretary Wasiu Olayinka confirmed the move, urging cooperation. Existing occupants get first refusal; new applicants can apply. Motto: “In Lagos, Every Square Metre of Land Matters.”
