Fatima Abbas, wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, is urging the 10th National Assembly to pass a bill creating special reserved seats for women. She stressed its importance for deepening democracy and inclusive governance. Clement Nwankwo of PLAC called it the most consequential bill before the assembly, warning that failure to pass it would question the 10th Assembly’s legacy.
