A viral recruitment notice is nothing but fraud, the Police Service Commission says. The fake release claimed Nigeria Police Force recruits would be posted only to their states of origin under a “State Police Act 2026,” complete with a bogus medical screening schedule and portal activation date.
PSC’s Torty Njoku Kalu called it fraudsters’ handiwork and urged the public to disregard it, according to Punch. The commission confirmed it met stakeholders Thursday to discuss the ongoing recruitment exercise and promised an official update soon. It stressed recruitment remains completely free and warned anyone circulating fake notices will face legal consequences.
