The UK has reaffirmed its list of over 100 countries whose nationals must obtain a visa before traveling to the UK for stays under six months.

The United Kingdom has updated its Immigration Rules Appendix Visitor, reaffirming which countries and traveller categories must secure a visa before heading to the UK for visits or stays under six months, according to Punch, which obtained the updated guidance on Saturday.
Under the rules, nationals of more than 100 countries and territories must get entry clearance before travelling unless specific exemptions elsewhere in the immigration rules apply. Stateless persons and those travelling on documents other than a national passport or, where applicable, a national identity card must also secure clearance in advance — unless the document was issued by the UK itself.
The Home Office, in its July 1 release, noted exceptions for nationals of the People’s Republic of China and Taiwan, marked with an asterisk in the rules, with details set out in later provisions of the appendix.

The rules also require entry clearance for stateless persons and individuals travelling on any document other than a national passport or valid national identity card, regardless of nationality, unless the document was issued by the UK.
