Gombe Governor’s Anti-Corruption Stance
Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya has issued a strong warning to newly inaugurated commissioners, special advisers, and permanent secretaries: corruption and abuse of office will not be tolerated. During Saturday’s swearing-in of 23 commissioners, Yahaya declared that public funds are “solely for the benefit of our people.” He emphasized his administration, now in its final year, will not accept acts tarnishing its image.
