Adetshina Fights Deportation in Court
Chidimma Adetshina is back in the headlines — this time in court, not on the pageant stage. The former Miss Universe Nigeria appeared before the Cape Town Regional Court to challenge her deportation, after her legal team argued the process was unlawful, Vanguard reports.
Adetshina, arrested in June over allegations she entered South Africa illegally, was born in Soweto to a Nigerian father and Mozambican mother. She previously withdrew from Miss South Africa 2024 amid a citizenship storm involving her mother.
An affidavit detailing her efforts to regularise her stay is expected before the court, according to Vanguard.
