A little-known group called Ashab Al Yamim has claimed responsibility for three attacks on synagogues across Europe, raising suspicions of possible links to Iran-aligned networks.
A previously unknown Shi’ite group called Ashab Al Yamim has claimed responsibility for three attacks targeting Jewish institutions across Europe this week. The incidents included a bombing at a synagogue in Liège, Belgium, an attack in Greece, and an arson attack on a synagogue in Rotterdam, Netherlands. No casualties were reported in the attacks, which mostly occurred at night.
Researchers say the group did not appear to exist before this week and lacks official social media channels, raising questions about its authenticity. However, videos of the attacks circulated on Telegram channels linked to groups such as Hezbollah and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, suggesting possible ties to Iran-aligned networks or the use of a proxy group.
