U.S. President Donald Trump said it was a “great honour” to be killing members of Iran’s regime as American and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets entered their 13th day.
Donald Trump has declared it a “great honour” to be killing members of Iran’s regime in a strongly worded social media post as the United States marked the 13th day of sustained combat operations against the Iran. Writing on his platform Truth Social early Friday, Trump claimed U.S. forces had significantly weakened Tehran’s military capabilities.
In the lengthy post, Trump asserted that Iran’s military had been largely dismantled by the ongoing operations. “Iran’s Navy is gone, their Air Force is no longer, missiles, drones and everything else are being decimated, and their leaders have been wiped from the face of the earth,” he wrote.
“We have unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time – Watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today,” Trump added, before drawing a comparison between his presidency and the longevity of Iran’s Islamic Revolution. “They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What a great honor it is to do so!” The remarks came as U.S. and Israel strikes continued to pound Iranian targets, with intense air raids reported around Tehran and surrounding areas early Friday.
