NDC’s Rabiu Kwankwaso told Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday that his agreement with presidential candidate Peter Obi, limiting Obi to a single term, was formally documented, not just spoken. “We have done one for the party, and another for us,” he said, expressing full confidence Obi won’t renege. Kwankwaso explained the pact ensures power shifts back to the North after Obi’s 2027–2031 term, involving party members and allies in the transition. Obi has long insisted four years is enough to execute his reform agenda, Vanguard reports.
