Transport unions in Osun State shut down major parks Monday, demanding justice for a wave of killings tied to the sector.

Members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and allied unions staged protests across major motor parks in Osun State on Monday over recurring violence and killings linked to the transport sector.
According to SaharaReporters, the protesters called on Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu to intervene, investigate the attacks, and ensure suspects are arrested and prosecuted. They said the violence had spread fear among workers, disrupted commercial activities, and put commuters at risk, urging security agencies to boost surveillance and restore calm to the parks.
Governor Ademola Adeleke condemned the attacks and directed security agencies to arrest those responsible, insisting anyone found culpable must face prosecution under the law.
