Sanwo-Olu urges Lagos residents to plant trees, says state targets 20,000 this year

Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is urging residents to plant trees to fight climate change, aiming for 20,000 new trees in 2026. Already, 13,401 trees are planted. This effort, a key nature-based strategy, tackles environmental degradation and promotes a “cooler, cleaner, safer” Lagos.
