Fubara’s Key Loyalists Return to Wike’s Rainbow Coalition

Some of Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s closest political loyalists have reunited with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s Rainbow Coalition ahead of the 2027 elections, according to The Nation.

Darlington Orji and Collins Onunwo, who once held key roles under Fubara, have reportedly rejoined Wike’s camp, prompting mixed reactions. Reports also suggested former Obio-Akpor chairman Chijoke Ihunwo made a similar move, though he denied it, calling the claims “speculation.”

Coalition leaders are reportedly working to bring back other Fubara loyalists, including Edison Ehie and Tammy Danagogo. Orji insisted his actions followed Fubara’s own directive to support APC candidates.
