Senator Ali Ndume has urged President Tinubu to communicate directly with Nigerians and tackle economic hardship while sustaining the military push against bandits and terrorists.
Talk to Nigerians Yourself – Ndume
Senator Ali Ndume (APC–Borno South) has a message for President Bola Tinubu: speak up.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Ndume told State House correspondents on Thursday, after meeting Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, that Nigerians want their leader addressing them directly rather than relying on others to explain government moves.
He didn’t stop there. Ndume pressed the administration to tackle soaring food and transport costs, insisting Nigeria has “the capacity” — just needs coordination.
On security, he struck an optimistic note, citing recent pressure on bandits across the North-West and North-East, including surrendered commanders. Sustained operations, he said, would eventually break the insurgency.
Ndume added that Tinubu proposed regular consultations going forward to jointly navigate the country’s challenges.
