UK police have launched an international manhunt for Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma after his wife and two daughters were found dead in their Bedford home, sparking widespread outrage over violence against black women.

Husband Flees to Zimbabwe After Alleged Killing of Wife, Daughters in UK

Bedfordshire Police discovered the bodies of Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, and her daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, 5, in their Bedford home on Monday after officers broke in following reports that the family hadn’t been seen for days, according to Peoples Gazette.

Investigators found that the woman’s husband, Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, also known as Mark, had left the UK on a British passport through Heathrow Airport on Saturday, and police believe he has fled to Zimbabwe. Police have released his image and appealed directly for him to surrender. “Criminal investigation knows no borders,” said Lee Martin of Bedfordshire Police, urging Tshuma to hand himself in to local authorities. Zimbabwean police told the BBC they have not yet received formal notification from INTERPOL but have set up measures to apprehend him if he is located in the country.

The case has sparked outrage on social media, with many users and public figures calling for broader conversations about violence against black women, citing UK domestic homicide statistics and expressing grief over the deaths of the mother and her two young daughters.
