Adeniyi Adeyemi, Director-General of the disowned PFIPC, has retracted his earlier claims about Femi Gbajabiamila’s involvement in issuing his appointment letter. Adeyemi now states he’s unsure of Gbajabiamila’s role, having communicated through a late associate. He previously accused the Chief of Staff of demanding substantial sums and a percentage of the agency’s grant, threats he claims led to the disclaimer.
Gbajabiamila has denied any knowledge of the agency and threatened a defamation suit. Adeyemi has since called for an independent investigation into the matter and pledged cooperation with authorities.
