Osinbajo Emerges NCF BOT President

Yemi Osinbajo has a new title — and a climate mission to match. The former vice president emerged as President of the Nigerian Conservation Foundation’s Board of Trustees at its 37th AGM in Lagos, according to P.M. News.

In his acceptance speech, Osinbajo praised NCF founders like Chief Philip Asiodu and the late Chief S.L. Edu for laying Nigeria’s conservation foundation decades ahead of global climate awareness.

He noted rising temperatures and flooding across Nigeria, pointing to parts of Europe hitting 38–41°C as proof of mounting climate urgency. Still, Osinbajo expressed confidence that technology and innovation could help tackle these challenges, pledging to build on his predecessors’ work and deepen stakeholder collaboration.
