Fresh footage has surfaced showing some of the terrorists arrested during the operation that freed the abducted Oyo schoolchildren and teachers.

Video Shows Captured Terrorists From Oyo Rescue Op

A fresh video circulating online has captured some of the terrorists arrested during the dramatic rescue of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.

Naija News reports that the clip, shared on 𝕏 by Deji Adesogan on Saturday, shows troops from the Office of the National Security Adviser’s (ONSA) tactical team restraining suspects during Friday’s operation. The victims, abducted from Orire Local Government Area, had spent over fifty days in captivity before their release.

The presidency had earlier confirmed that eight kidnappers were arrested while others were neutralised during the operation. Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this on 𝕏, adding that those arrested are now in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

President Tinubu, in a personally signed statement, identified the Ansaru terrorist group as responsible for the abduction, commending security forces for their courage and professionalism in securing the victims’ safe return, and vowed that Nigeria would not give in to terror.
