Former Ogun State governor, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, has alleged that key opposition figures including Peter Obi, Goodluck Jonathan, and Seyi Makinde are part of a coordinated strategy to weaken President Bola Tinubu’s support base in the South ahead of the 2027 election.
According to Peoples Gazette, Osoba claimed the alleged political alignment is aimed at splitting votes in Tinubu’s stronghold, particularly in the South-West.
He argued that the move is part of broader realignments already shaping the 2027 contest, as political blocs position themselves for influence across regions.
The claims come amid rising political consultations and emerging alliances across major parties ahead of the next general election cycle.
