Former presidential adviser Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics that he hopes President Bola Tinubu will not contest the 2027 election.
Baba-Ahmed argued that Tinubu has not demonstrated the drive or hunger required to address Nigeria’s challenges, noting that although the president achieved his long-held ambition to lead the country, “I wish President Tinubu would not run again in 2027.” He added that “the Tinubu we used to know… hasn’t shown that same hunger to fix things,” insisting the administration has not met expectations.
