Former Minister of Housing and Urban Development Ahmed Dangiwa has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve in the Federal Executive Council following his exit after a cabinet reshuffle.
Dangiwa, whose removal was confirmed on Tuesday alongside Wale Edun, said his tenure was both an honour and a responsibility in national service. In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Strategy, Mark Chieshe, the former minister noted that he was privileged to lead reforms in the housing and urban development sector and described the experience as deeply fulfilling. He also thanked members of the Federal Executive Council, development partners, and ministry staff for their support.
“I wish to sincerely thank Mr President for the confidence he reposed in me to serve as Honourable Minister of Housing and Urban Development. It has been a rare privilege to contribute to the advancement of policies and programmes aimed at expanding access to affordable housing for Nigerians,” he said. Dangiwa added that notable progress was made under the administration, including the rollout of the Renewed Hope Housing Programme, strengthened public-private partnerships, and reforms in land administration and housing finance, assuring that the transition process would be smooth while reaffirming his commitment to national development.
