Bishop David Oyedepo has declared a seven-day ultimatum for divine judgment against bandits and their sponsors, asserting that testimonies of vengeance will emerge across Nigeria within the coming week.
Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, has invoked divine intervention against the bandits and sponsors responsible for the wave of killings and kidnappings across Nigeria. Speaking during a service themed “Covenant Day of Vengeance” at the church’s headquarters, Faith Tabernacle, in Ota, Ogun State, the cleric issued a stern warning to those destabilizing the nation. He asserted that a period of spiritual retribution had commenced, targeting both the perpetrators on the field and the influential figures backing their operations.
The cleric placed a specific timeframe on his declarations, claiming that the results of these spiritual decrees would be evident to the public within one week. Oyedepo’s pronouncement comes amid heightened national concern over the safety of traditional institutions and rural communities, which have faced a string of high-profile abductions in recent months. He assured his congregation and the wider Nigerian public that the coming days would be marked by significant reports of “divine punishment” meted out to those causing national tragedies.
Emphasizing the authority of his office, the Bishop stated that the validity of his calling would be proven by the unfolding events of the next seven days. He remained categorical in his stance against the criminal elements, declaring: “I declare judgment on those who caused these tragedies and their supporters in the name of Jesus. Unless I am not sent, this will happen in the next seven days.” He further bolstered the spirits of the congregants by adding that in the coming week, they will hear “testimonies of vengeance”.
