Wike: I’m Nigeria’s most abused politician after Tinubu

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says he is the most abused politician in Nigeria after President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking in Ahoada East, Rivers State, Wike said political activities in the state would officially resume in January 2026. He thanked supporters for standing by him, adding that he remains committed to every agreement he makes and continues to back President Tinubu.

Wike also referenced divisions in Rivers State politics, claiming that some politicians who now support Tinubu did not do so when it mattered. He stated that loyalty and consistency were central to his political choices, recalling the 2023 election and his decision to support Tinubu’s candidacy. He urged residents to remain united as new political activities approach.

During the event, members of the Rivers State House of Assembly presented Wike with a Toyota Camry as a Christmas gift. Speaker Martins Amaewhule said the gesture was a token of appreciation and respect.

Wike responded with humour while maintaining that he would not allow anyone to “use” him politically as 2026 approaches.
