NDLEA has uncovered a Lagos drug syndicate disguising Canadian Loud as imported Christmas cookies and distributing it through a WhatsApp network operated by two suspects. NDLEA said operatives raided their Lekki apartment on November 22 and recovered designer sachets and 5kg of Loud. Additional raids across Lagos led to the arrest of another kingpin with 55.6kg of Loud, while courier checks uncovered drugs hidden in a teddy bear and in vitamin bottles.
Nationwide operations also resulted in arrests in Oyo, Ondo, Kogi, Kano, Bauchi, Abuja and at the Seme border, with large quantities of skunk, opioids and ammunition seized. NDLEA Chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd) praised the teams and highlighted the agency’s continued efforts to disrupt trafficking networks and expand its War Against Drug Abuse outreach.
