Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke has pulled the plug on NURTW operations across the state, ordering an immediate halt to all union activities following days of factional violence, according to Vanguard News.
The directive, issued after Thursday’s State Security Council meeting, followed a crisis that has rocked the union since Monday, disrupting businesses and heightening insecurity. Levy collection at motor parks has also been suspended.
Adeleke has ordered police to arrest anyone parading as a union official in the parks, and directed the immediate establishment of a Rapid Response squad to enforce compliance across the state.
