Family drama meets federal appointments. Isaac Fayose took to Instagram on Monday to react to the Presidency’s announcement that his elder brother, Ayo Fayose, had been named REA board chairman alongside 25 others across 10 federal agencies, according to PUNCH Online.
Isaac argued the position fell short, contrasting it with a ministerial or ambassadorial role and comparing it unfavorably to Reno Omokri’s ambassadorship. He linked the appointment’s timing to Peter Obi’s weekend visit to his home, suggesting the government moved quickly to “enter that family.”
He also recalled his brother’s past vow to avoid public office after leaving government house, describing him as financially independent long before his political career.
Isaac closed by urging his brother to pass the chairmanship to his son, calling him “too big for that” and an “Afobaje”—a kingmaker.
