A group, Southern Political Progressives Amalgamation Forum, is urging the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to drop Rotimi Amaechi as their vice-presidential pick for the 2027 elections. The group accused Amaechi of desperation and lacking the necessary grassroots support to win.
The forum claims Amaechi manipulated the party for the running mate position and demanded control over key ministerial appointments. They also allege he dropped a court case against Abubakar after his demands were met.
