Isaac Fayose says he could withdraw his backing for Peter Obi’s 2027 presidential bid, days after facing backlash over a viral video of him praying with Seyi Tinubu.
Fayose: I Can Withdraw Support for Peter Obi Anytime
Isaac Fayose, younger brother of ex-Ekiti governor Ayodele Fayose, says he can withdraw his support for NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi “any time,” reacting to criticism over a viral video showing him praying with Seyi Tinubu. In a Facebook post, Fayose said his backing for Obi shouldn’t be taken for granted, recalling how much he spent on Obi’s 2023 campaign without, he claimed, receiving appreciation, according to Daily Post.
He also declared admiration for President Bola Tinubu and his son, saying he could campaign for the president if he chooses. Fayose had earlier denied that meeting APC supporters meant he’d abandoned Obi.
