A proposed amendment to Nigeria’s aviation revenue sharing formula threatens flight safety, warns the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). The association voiced concerns over a bill aiming to cut the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority’s (NCAA) share of the five percent ticket sales charge from 56% to 40%. This reduction, NAAPE says, could compromise regulatory independence and oversight, impacting Nigeria’s aviation safety.
