The Oyo State Police Command has arrested a masquerade known as “Asoleke” over the alleged killing of 24-year-old Sefiu Kehinde in Ibadan, with four followers still at large.

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested a masquerade identified as “Asoleke” over the alleged murder of Sefiu Kehinde, 24, in Ibadan’s Labiran area, The Nation reports.
Police say the masquerade and its followers attacked Kehinde with axes and cutlasses while parading through the area on Sunday; he was confirmed dead on arrival at hospital. Four alleged followers remain at large as police launch a manhunt.
The Commissioner of Police, Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbemiga, has ordered the case transferred to the State CID for further investigation, with residents urged to share credible information.
