Sunday Igboho says he’s ready to tackle insecurity, waiting FG’s approval

Yoruba nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, says he is still waiting for Federal Government approval to launch his security outfit aimed at flushing out criminals from South-West forests, according to The Punch Newspapers.

Speaking in Ibadan, Igboho said all required documents for his “Iru Ekun Security Network” had already been submitted and he expects approval soon. He stressed readiness to work with the Police, DSS, Army, and other agencies to tackle kidnapping, banditry, and other threats in rural communities. Igboho also backed the Oyo State government’s new regulation of private security groups, saying coordination is key to restoring peace.

He commended President Bola Tinubu’s security efforts, insisting that safety is essential for agriculture and rural livelihoods across Yorubaland.
