Tinubu will rename Nigeria before end of tenure — Cleric

A cleric, Pastor Toye Ebijomore, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will give Nigeria a new name before the end of his tenure and successfully navigate all political arrangements against him.

Ebijomore, founder and General Overseer of God’s Anointed and Blessed Church International, Akure, made the declaration on Friday while delivering his 2026 prophecies.

He said a strong coalition of political parties would emerge ahead of the 2027 general elections with the aim of taking over federal power, but noted that internal misfortunes would weaken the alliance, possibly leading to its break-up.

According to him, the ruling party would retain power in the next election before a stronger political party eventually emerges in the future.

The cleric further urged President Tinubu to obey divine instruction by convening a national prayer for the redemption of Nigeria’s glory, adding that the country would experience food surplus in the second half of 2026. “There will be plenty of food in Nigeria from the second half of this year, but the government should work towards making food and health cheaper for the people,” he said.

Ebijomore also warned that insecurity would take a different dimension, shifting from kidnapping to robbery, sponsored violence, arson and bombing in public places, while advising the government to watch out for those targeting respected individuals, especially clerics.

He added that 2026 would be marked by healing, deliverance and abundance for those who believe, and predicted major developmental progress for Ondo State, saying it would become a top-choice destination.
