The NDLEA has dismantled a drug distribution network in the Lekki area of Lagos that packaged illicit substances as “imported Christmas cookies and snacks,” leading to the arrest of masterminds Deji Adesanya and Olubiyi Majekodunmi after a raid that uncovered designer sachets and 5kg of Canadian Loud.
According to NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi, the syndicate operated via a WhatsApp platform and imported colourful sachets used for retail distribution, while additional operations across Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Kogi, Kano, Bauchi, and the FCT led to arrests including a kingpin, Philip Ucheka, and seizures ranging from Loud concealed in a teddy bear to tramadol capsules hidden in Vitamin C bottles, along with several tonnes of skunk, pentazocine, codeine, and live ammunition.
