Finland Court Jails Simon Ekpa for Terrorism
The Päijät-Häme District Court in Finland on Monday sentenced pro-Biafran agitator, Simon Ekpa, to six years in prison after finding him guilty of terrorism-related offences.
The court ruled that between 2021 and 2024, Ekpa attempted to promote Biafra independence through illegal means, including incitement to terrorism and aggravated tax fraud.
ONSA Denies El-Rufai’s Allegations on Ransom Payments
The Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) has dismissed former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s claim that the Tinubu administration engaged in ransom payments to criminals.
In a statement on Monday, ONSA Director of Legal Services, Zakari Mijinyawa, described the allegation as “baseless” and “contradicting verifiable facts.”

Minister of Transportation, Said Ahmed Alkali, has assured Nigerians that the damaged portions of the Abuja-Kaduna rail line will be fixed within 10 days.
The tracks and coaches were damaged last Tuesday after a train derailed at Asham Station.
