A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the final forfeiture of 48 properties linked to former Attorney General Abubakar Malami to the Federal Government.

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the final forfeiture of 48 properties linked to former Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami to the Federal Government, Sahara Reporters reports. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said the assets were reasonably suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activities.
The forfeited properties include:
• Rayhaan University and its three campuses
• Rayhaan Radio
• Vice Chancellor’s residence
• Meethaq Hotels in Jabi and Maitama
• Former Harmonia Hotels, Abuja
• Zeennoor Hotel, Kano
• Rayhaan Agro Allied Factory
• Azbir Arena and Azbir Hotel
• Filling stations
• Residential and commercial buildings
• Warehouses
• Plots of land in Abuja, Kebbi and Kano
The court’s order transfers ownership of 48 assets to the Federal Government after forfeiture proceedings concluded.
