ADC Demands Umahi Step Aside Over Mary Habila’s Death
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has demanded that Minister of Works David Umahi step aside pending an independent investigation into the death of Mary Habila, who reportedly died at his residence, Daily Post reports.
In a statement by National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi, the party called for a full autopsy and public release of findings, insisting the probe be conducted outside APC and Federal Government influence. ADC questioned the circumstances of Habila’s presence at the minister’s home and accused the Tinubu administration of shielding officials in past cases.
The party extended condolences to Habila’s family while reiterating its call for transparency.
